OFF! : Upside Down

Miss the old days when aggressive music meant something to the "underground" youth music movement? If you're hankering for some good ole punk rock along the lines of Black Flag (pre Rollins) and the Circle Jerks, then this track by OFF! won't disappoint. OFF! includes members of Burning Brides/Redd Kross/Hot Snakes, so you know it's gonna rock...the rare thing about this track is that frontman Keith morris (Circle Jerks) doesn't sound pathetic singing about the same things he was when he was a mere teenager in the early 80s.  I always thought Morris captured the snotty angst thing better than most singers of that generation. I also appreciate the old school production on this number, which clocks in at just 76 seconds. Enjoy!

GIRLS: Carolina

New track "Carolina" from GIRLS off the EP Broken Dreams Club which comes out on True Panther Sounds Nov 22. Girls is from California, and you can hear it in their sun-bleached sound. This new song benefits from much glossier production than their previous material off last year's Album. There's a definite psychedelic country thing going on here at first, which evolves into a bouncy, yet sullen ballad with hints of post punk driving rhythms. The track evolves into an all out jam, before collapsing once again into spaced out California dreamin' grandeur. Enjoy! Afterwards go pre-order their EP HERE.

Weezer: Unreleased Song From Pinkerton

Here's a song from the Deluxe Edition of Pinkerton called "Getting Up and Leaving". It's another taste of Weezer in their heyday, building on the 50s pop meets 90s alternative rock thing that they perfected, and a fine hidden gem at that!

Make sure to pick up a copy of the reissued album, which includes more bonus cuts right here: http://shop.weezer.com/
